hi, i'm alicia!
Born + raised in mountain Maryland, I found a deep gratitude for nature & Jesus. I am currently residing in Hampton Roads, Virginia- but I have had the privilege of experiencing the beauty of Colorado & Texas.
A few things I love: my hubs, my kitties, a good concert, and my camera (I take that thing everywhere). I'm big on country music, except think Dylan Gossett/ Tyler Childers / anything but that pop country.
I love taking little moments throughout my day to admire the things we take for granted & I'm a sucker for candids.
LEARN ABOUT MY BUSINESS
Photography has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember. I found a love for it originally in a yearbook class I took in middle school, and it just felt and came so natural to me. That first encounter with a camera was back in 2016. 10 years later, and a lot of learning, I launched my photography business, officially with an LLC, in November 2024.
I never thought that I would come this far in a hobby that 13 year old me picked up on a whim. Having my passion become my career, and being able to meet the most amazing people, and being able to capture some of the most important and happiest moments of other’s lives has been an experience that I would not change for the world.

Lets be real,
The first 10 minutes of your session are typically the most awkward, and that's okay! It's totally normal to show up with nerves, unsure of what to do with your hands, and honestly just being shy! After that first 'introduction phase', I promise we'll have some fun and I'll capture those instagram worth pictures you're looking for.
I want to make it clear, that no one expects you to be perfect! I sure don't at least. It's okay that your hair got a little messy in the wind on the walk to our location. It's okay that your double chin is showing its self a little more than you'd like. And it's okay that your kids are having a bad day! life happens, kids will be kids, you look beautiful as you are.
If i wanted perfect, I would not have became a photographer.
I don't look for perfection, because that's not life. I look for the genuine moments between you and your spouse loving each other, carrying on with your kids, and the candid shots that you look back on and remember the exact moment it happened.
During your session, we'll talk about the things we love, our goals, stories of your relationship, and we'll leave basically best friends. (even though you'll look at me funny for the prompts I throw at you)
Every session I leave blessed with the opportunity to meet new people, to have connected with someone who took a chance on me and supported my work. To me, you're not just another person I'm making money from. You're someone I will truly remember and will forever be grateful that our paths crossed.
So, let's hang- let's be human, let's take some pictures, and most importantly: let's have some fun!
